A convertible security can be a bond or preferred stocks which come with regular interest payment and can be later converted into shares of the issuing company. Convertible bond &#8211; this comes with an option to exchange the bond for a particular number of shares at a specified time.<br \/>\nFeatures of Convertible Bond:<br \/>\n1. A convertible bond has a maturity date and pays interest as well, like a regular bond.<br \/>\n2. If the bond is not converted to equity, investors receive the amount invested at maturity.<br \/>\n3.
