Updated on March 3, 2023

Good delivery means smooth transfer of ownership of a security from a seller to a buyer. When all requirements for completing a transaction have been met, a trade is called complete and the security’s transfer to the buyer is known as a Good Delivery. With electronic trading, the exchanges are capable of making ‘good delivery’ on all orders and the process is complete within fractions of a second.
