After Hours Trading

Stock market trading that is done or orders which are placed ‘After’ the regular market timings is called ‘After Hours Trading’. It refers to the market activity that happens after market closing. The ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ orders placed during this time are called ‘After Market Orders’ and these are executed on the following day. Both NSE and BSE allow After Hours Trading.

Who can place orders in After Hours Trading

After Hours Trading can be used by:
a) People who cannot trade during regular market hours.
b) Traders who want to analyze the day’s prices and then place orders
c) Investors who are in a different time zone and want to participate in Indian markets
