What is Meebhoomi?

Meebhoomi is the online portal launched by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is managed by its Revenue Department. The Portal was launched in 2015 and can provide details of any land in Andhra Pradesh. The objective of the portal is to digitize all the land records in the state and to provide convenient access to all landowners, buyers, and sellers as well as the Government. 

What is Adangal?

Adangal is the detailed account of any land in Andhra Pradesh that is maintained by the village authorities. The details to be included in these records includes the following,

  1. Name of the landowner
  2. Land revenue details
  3. Liabilities of the owners on the land
  4. Total land area
  5. Khata Number
  6. Hissa and survey number of the land
  7. Nature of procession of land

What are the features of the Meebhoomi portal?

Meebhoomi portal was launched to provide consolidated data of all the details related to any land in the state. This will help all the concerned entities get prompt access to the required details anytime and from anywhere. Some of the prime features of this portal are mentioned below.

  1. The portal allows the users to download the Adangal and 1-B (Record of Right)
  2. Users can link their Aadhaar card and view their land records easily.

Adangal is the documents containing all the details of the land. Landowners and the general public in Andhra Pradesh can download the Adangal from the Meebhoomi portal in the following manner.

  1. The first step to download Adangal is by visiting the Meebhoomi portal.
  2. The users have to click on the Adangal Tab on the homepage and then select the necessary option among ‘Your Adangal’ or ‘Village Adangal’ from the drop-down list that will appear.
  3. The next step to download the Adangal is to select an option to proceed from the available options like,
    1. Survey number
    2. Account number
    3. Aadhaar Number
    4. Automation records
  4. The details to be provided by the user after selecting any from the above parameter are 
    1. District name
    2. Zone name
    3. Village name
    4. Survey number 
    5. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen and then select ‘click’
  5. After providing the necessary details, the required Adangal will be displayed on the next screen and can be printed by clicking on the ‘Print’ option available at the bottom of the page.

What is the 1-b (ROR) and how to download it?

In Andhra Pradesh, 1-b (Record of Rights) is known as the document that has a detailed record of the ownership of any land in the state. This document is one of the most important documents relating to the land records maintained by the Revenue Department of the State. This document is maintained in the office of the Tahsildar of every village. 1-B document can be used while procuring any bank loan, in any court proceedings, or for mere verification purposes. The details included in this document are,

  1. Name of the Khatedar
  2. Khatedar’s father’s name 
  3. Khata number and survey number of the land 
  4. Classification of land
  5. Land revenue details
  6. The extent of the land held by Khatedar 

The process to download the 1-b from the Meebhoomi portal is given below.

  1. The first step to download 1-b is by visiting the Meebhoomi portal.
  2. The users have to click on the 1-b Tab on the homepage and then select the necessary option among ‘Your 1-b’ or ‘Village 1-b’ from the drop-down list that will appear.
  3. The next step to download the 1-b is to select an option to proceed from the available options like,
    1. Survey number
    2. Account number
    3. Aadhaar Number
    4. Name of the Graduate (Landowner)
    5. Automation records
  4. The details to be provided by the user after selecting any from the above parameter are 
    1. District name
    2. Zone name
    3. Village name
    4. Survey number 
    5. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen and then select ‘click’
  5. After providing the above details, the user will get the survey number, Khata number, landowner’s name, and Father’s name is then displayed on the next screen.
  6. Users can then click on the underlined Khata number and landowner’s name to view the 1-b document. 
  7. After providing the necessary details, the required 1-b will be displayed on the next screen and can be printed by clicking on the ‘Print’ option available at the bottom of the page.

Meebhoomi portal provides the benefit of linking the Aadhaar number to the Khata number for better access and transparency. The process to link the Aadhaar Number on the Meebhoomi portal is given below. 

  1. The first step is to visit the Meebhoomi portal.
  2. On the homepage of the website, the users have to then click on the ‘Aadhaar/ Other Identities’ and select ‘Aadhaar Linking’ from the drop-down menu. 
  3. The user will then have to select among the ‘Khata Number or Aadhaar number to proceed and provide the following detail,
    1. District name
    2. Zone name
    3. Village name
    4. Account number/ Aadhaar number 
    5. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen and then select ‘click’
    6. The user will also have to tick on the consent displayed on the screen for generating Aadhaar OTP and to biometrics from UIDAI.
  4. The user will get the confirmation of the Aadhaar linking with the Khata Number and it will be displayed on the next screen.
